Bruce Lamb, of Lamb Video Productions, has taught more people
how to tile than anyone else in the world. Bruce is the creator
of U-TILE IT YOURSELF video series,
and has distributed over 4 million copies worldwide. He now
introduces the new TOTAL TILE TRAINING
DVD and VIDEO TRAINING. Bruce began his tile career in
1977. He was a member of the Ceramic Tile Setters Union in
San Diego, California, and attended a 4 year Union Tile Setters
Training School. Every aspect of tile setting was taught,
including how to choose the correct materials for the particular
job, the correct use of tile tools, tile layout and installation
procedures including thin set mortar and full mortar bed
installations. Most importantly, as Bruce puts it, "We
were taught the reason why a certain procedure was used." This
is a lost concept with the new generation of tile setters.
Most newer installers have never attended any type of structured tile
training program and most setters are too busy trying
to make a living to take the time to train new help correctly.
Bruce puts his 25 years of experience in the tile industry
